This week I took the Eurostar to Paris to personally deliver seven mezzotints to La Bibliothèque Nationale. It is a huge honour to have my work bought by this most prestigious French national collection. Paul, Meryl Ainslie and I spent a full and fascinating day with senior curators at the BNF Richelieu building on Rue Vivienne in the 2ième. Astonishing reading rooms, packed with readers and students and wonderful, thoughtfully curated galleries of antiquities. Paris m’a formée and it was good to be back.
